เมื่อได้น้ำมาแล้วก็ให้เติมสารทำความสะอาด โดยทั่วไปนิยมใช้เป็น 2 ชนิดคือ น้ำส้มสายชูกลั่นขาว และ isopropyl alcohol (เลือกได้ตามความต้องการ) ซึ่งทั้ง 2 ชนิดนี้มีคุณสมบัติที่ช่วยขจัดคราบแบบฝังแน่นได้ดี แต่ไม่แนะนำให้เอามาผสมกัน โดยมีคำแนะนำเพิ่มเติมดังนี้
- กรณีที่เลือกใช้ isopropyl alcohol อย่าผสมกับน้ำกลั่นที่เข้มข้นมากกว่า 50 : 50 กรณีใช้น้ำส้มสายชูกลั่นให้ใช้เริ่มต้นจาก 50 : 50 ถ้าน้ำยาไม่แรงมากพอ ก็สามารถเพิ่มน้ำส้มสายชูกลั่นมากขึ้นเรื่อย ๆ ได้เลย
- กรณีที่หาไม่ได้จริง ๆ แนะนำให้ใช้วอดก้าแทนได้ (แทน isopropyl alcohol)
- ห้ามนำน้ำยาเช็ดกระจกมาใช้ เพราะว่าถือว่ามีส่วนผสมของสารทำความสะอาดแอมโมเนียอยู่ หน้าจออุปกรณ์พวกจอคอมพิวเตอร์ (https://www.homepro.co.th/c/TVA1101), ทีวี, โน้ตบุ๊ก ฯลฯ เสื่อมสภาพ หรือด่างได้
แนะนำวิธีเช็ดกระจกหน้าจออย่างถูกต้อง

นำน้ำยามาฉีดพ่นที่ผ้า จะต้องไม่ฉีดที่หน้าจอโดยตรง จากนั้นก็เช็ดหน้าจอไปในทิศทางเดียวกันได้เลย ถ้ามีคราบฝังแน่นก็อย่าไปออกแรงกด หรือขูดเอาคราบออก รอให้น้ำยาทำปฏิกิริยาเองดีที่สุด ด้วยเหตุว่าคราบจะหลุดออกได้ง่ายมากขึ้น อาจต้องเช็ดเบา ๆ ซ้ำหลายทีเพื่อให้คราบหลุด
