เที่ยววัดกลางมิ่งเมือง จังหวัดร้อยเอ็ด ซึ่งวัดกลางมิ่งเมือง เดิมชื่อวัดกลาง เนื่องจากตั้งอยู่ใจกลางเมืองร้อยเอ็ด บนถนนเจริญพาณิชย์ ตำบลในเมือง อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดร้อยเอ็ด

โดยเป็นวัดเก่าแก่ สันนิษฐานว่าสร้างก่อนตั้งเมืองร้อยเอ็ด ในขณะนั้นอยู่ในการปกครองของขอมในสมัยของนายวิญญู อังคณารักษ์ เป็น ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดร้อยเอ็ดได้ขอพระราชทานยกวัดราษฎร์ขึ้นเป็นพระอารามหลวงชั้นตรี ชนิดสามัญ ตั้งแต่วันที่ 26 พฤษภาคม พ.ศ.2508 ในอดีตเคยใช้วัดกลางมิ่งเมืองเป็นสถานที่ประกอบพิธีถือน้ำ พิพัฒน์สัตยา

ส่วนในปัจจุบัน เป็นสถานที่ศึกษาปริยัติธรรมและ สถานที่สอบธรรมสถานชื่อโรงเรียนสุนทรธรรมปริยัติ สังกัดสำนักงานพระพุทธศาสนาแห่งชาติ โดยโรงเรียนพระปริยัติธรรมแผนก ธรรมและบาลี เปิดสอนเมื่อ พ.ศ.2413 และโรงเรียนพระปริยัติธรรมแผนกสามัญ ฝึกสอนเมื่อ พ.ศ.2514
