Its safe to say that Leicester City have had a brilliant season after they secured promotion from the third tier of English football at
Serge Ibaka Jersey the first attempt, the club are currently sitting in aplay-off place and a trip to Wembley could well be on the cards. In the past month though when it looked highly likely that Leicester would claim a play-off place, the month of March proved to be a downward spiral on Leicesters behalf, the team were doing so well as they claimed important wins over rivals Nottingham Forest and fellowplay-off chasers Cardiff City, but the back end of Marchproved to be the turning point, astheLeicester fanswatched the Foxes slump to a five game unwinnable streak. However after Mondays 4-0win over Queens Park Rangers the team from the East Midlands could well be back in busine s. With four games to go Leicesters play-off place is still in jeopardy as most notably Blackpool are only 1 point behind them in 7th, its in Leicesters hands now.As I mentioned above there is only four games left in the 09/10 season for Leicester City and to be honest the run in which the Foxes havelooks fairly straight forward and simple. They
Terance Mann Jersey still need to play relegated Peterborough and fellow strugglers Watford; while also on theagenda is mid-table Preston and Gordon Strachans Middlesbrough. Matty Fryatt could well feature before the season ends meaning that he could well shed limelight into Leicesters play-off chances. Luckily forNigel Pearsons side hot on the heels Blackpool still need to playpromoted side Newcastle United and 3rd placed Nottingham Forest. Those remaining fixtures point inLeicesters favour, howeveron paper there is still a long way to go.Leicester Citys next task is away at Peterborough United, in the last two seasons including the current one the Foxes have never really been impre sive against the Posh
Quentin Richardson Jersey and last time these two met at London Road, Peterborough trounced Leicester 2-0. It could well be a difficult game for the Foxes but Peterborough will be mi sing plenty of key players, as Aaron McLean is out injured and George Boyd is currently on loan at Nottingham Forest. Leicesters away form isnt great but you can only see side winning this match and thats Nigel Pearsons side. After the Peterborough match, Leicester will host relegation threatened Watford at the Walkers Stadium. Considering Watford had a brilliant start to the season there form has gone awol as they currently find themselves in 21st position. Malky Mackay was doing a grand job at Vicarage Road and when these two sides met earlier in the season Watford thought from 2-0 down to lead 3-2 until a last minute header from Dany NGue san sealed a point in Leicesters favour. In past times Watford has struggled to pick up a result at the Walkers Stadium; however it could well be a different story this time around
Rayjon Tucker Jersey , as Watford will want to claim as many points as they can from their remaining fivefixtures. Leicester will then travel to Deepdale in what could well prove to be a difficult game for the Foxes. Preston thoughis struggling this season considering they were able to reach the heights of the play-offs in the 08/09 campaign. They are currently 17th in the Championship ladder and it looks highly likely that a mediocre season will be on the cards, Preston though defeated Leicester at the Walkers Stadium and the Lilywhites are often referredas Leicesters bogey team. Preston has good players in their ranks, as the likes of Ro s Wallace, Neil Mellor and Chris Brown could well trouble Nigel Pearsons side at times. The last game of the season is against Middlesbrough andthankfully for Leicesterthat match will be played at the Walkers Stadium. Boro and their home form could well march them on towards that lucrative sixth spot, the place which Leicester
Amir Coffey Jersey are currently occupying, but thelast time these two teams met Lloyd Dyer salvaged a win for Leicester, its definitely a winnable game on the sides behalf. Middlesbrough though have been boosted by a number of newsignings, as Gordon Strachan has dug right into his pockets to attract a number of SPL players including Barry Robson, Scott McDonald and Stephen McManus. OverallNigel Pearson has done a magnificent job atLeicester andthereis onlyone placethat theBlue Army deservetogo while under his guidanceand thats Wembley.
